Summer Rain

Summer Rain

Haven’t posted in a while. My beloved 12 year old Australian Shepherd, Isabella has been quite ill. Her fate is still unknown at this time and it has been a very trying week for me emotionally.

This morning I went to the barn to visit Henry – a time to “de-stress” and just spend some undemanding time with him. A very kind lady at the barn, Allenna – offered to walk with me on a hack. She took her beautiful mount Summer Rain and led the way. We walked a very good distance – up a big hill, through a field and then back down a big hill (another one), a trail through the woods and then back to the barn. Henry was a star all the way. He never batted an eyelash and his biggest concern was how to snatch some grass with mum wanting him to walk on! It was an excellent time to “free my mind” from the stressful situation at home. Thank you Allenna and Summer Rain, Allenna’s friends, and Henry – who made the hack (or should I say, “hike” on my part) so beautiful with emotional freedom.
